Complex evaluation of food
security of region
Aims. The article deals with deepening
of theoretical principles of science about security as consequence of formation
of complex evaluation of food security of the region. Methods: three-phase approach to determining the availability of food has been used to develop a
comprehensive assessment of food security in the region. Results: hierarchical
decomposition of indicators of physical, economic and social access to food
has been formed on
the principles of this
approach. The definition of food security in the region has
been specified regarding it as the socio-economic condition of the region which
provides protection of vital interests of the local population due to adequate
physical, economic and social access to food. Conclusion: logical-structural approach has been
further developed: the concept of this approach has been applied to the complex
assessment of food security in the region and supplemented the theory of
structural harmony of systems in developing a hierarchical decomposition of
indicators of physical, economic and social access to food.
